These workshops are designed to introduce stretching as part of a healthy lifestyle. Why stretch? If you enjoy moving freely through your life, facilitating the release of patterns of pain or discomfort, or want to bring more limber-ness to your limbs.
We will work through easy and simple yet effective stretches for the feet, legs, hips, lower middle and upper back, shoulders, arms, neck and specific focus on muscles that affect the TMJ (temporal-mandibular joint). We will end class with a breathing and visualization exercise.
This class is a culmination of my experience as a licensed massage therapist, offering follow-up movements for my clients and studies in theater, dance, yoga and kinesiology.
And yup, it's only 5 bucks. Please bring a mat or blanket for floor exercises as well as an assist band - this can be a belt, a towel, an actual exercise band, anything you're comfortable with using to assist you in passively relaxing into your stretches.
