Carrie Chilberg, LMT

Holy Fire Karuna Reiki Master

Carrie is currently on hiatus, pursuing her world outside of the office and facilitating life for her growing family. If and when she returns to offer massage therapy and reiki services, we will update this page! In the meantime, feel free to contact her for recommendations on other therapists. While they may not fill her shoes exactly, she'll have an idea about who can help you until she (hopefully!) returns.

Thank you to Carrie for providing excellent massage therapy & reiki services, uniquely dialed in to the needs of your clients, with an energy that can only come from you ♡

-Emily Ball LMT & HEAT Center Founder

Carrie is a New York State licensed massage therapist and Reiki Master Practitioner. Having graduated in 2007 from the Finger Lakes School of Massage in Ithaca, NY. She received her license in February of 2008. Carrie has continued to study holistic healing practices that are complementary to and harmonious with massage therapy. In 2008 Carrie completed a six month Herbal Apprenticeship program at Heartstone Herbal school, which provided an in depth foundation for the study of herbal medicine. In 2001 Carrie began her training in Reiki and recieved her most recent certification as a Holy Fire/Karuna Reiki Master in 2014. She also has taken classes in cranial-sacral therapy, Shamanism, and become certified in an adaptation of Thai massage that is performed on a massage table.

With nearly 10 years of experience working in the field of massage therapy, Carrie is proficient in the many modalities of massage, ranging from gentle relaxation to treating acute medical conditions. She integrates an array of techniques to create an experience that is tailored to the needs of each client. Carrie's approach is intuitive, communicative and always therapeutic.

Physical and emotional trauma as well as activities and experiences of daily life can create blockages in both our muscle tissue and energy pathways, leading to a cycle of discomfort and pain. Carrie aims to facilitate change in these patterns, relieve pain and tension to reduce stress, increase fluidity and freedom of movement, and to restore balance to the mind and body.

A life-long mother to animals (mostly kitties), Carrie gave birth to her first baby boy in December of 2014. She lives with her family on the West side of Buffalo.
