This 2-day course will provide certification in Usui Reiki Levels 1 & 2.  It will introduce you to the latest scholarship on energy and consciousness, and explore how reiki fits within a scientific perspective.  It covers the three levels of the benefits of reiki (emotional, physical and spiritual), blending traditional Usui techniques with Buddhist and Hindu perspectives on mindfulness, energy and overall wellness.  It emphasizes the importance of maitri, or friendliness with the self, and views self-care as crucial for the care of others.

This is a hands-on course; you will be attuned to three reiki symbols, and learn how to use them.  You will experience reiki for yourself, receive the attunements for Level 1 (which allows you to channel reiki) and the Level II attunement (which allows you to become a practitioner).  You will practice on yourself and on one another. 

In addition, the course will provide an introductory overview of other healing modalities, including Reiki Tummo, Seichim, Shamballa and Full Spectrum Healing.  You will also learn various techniques for distance healing. The course also provides information about starting your own practice. 

The course includes meditation.  If you use a pillow or a mat, please bring it with you, along with a bottle of water.  Please wear comfortable clothing, and bring a bagged lunch with you.  Snacks and water will be provided.
