I am a proud graduate of the Finger Lakes School of Massage where I received my 1000 hour certification. I have been working as a Massage Therapist since receiving my NYS license in the Spring of 2017.
I believe in full body, holistic wellness that honors all levels of consciousness—the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual—and serves to bring them into equilibrium.
I have always valued a holistic and healthful way of life, and yoga has been an important part of that equation. At 16, after flipping through books on my mother's bookshelf, I began practicing yoga asana. Many moons later in 2010, I took a deeper dive by completing a Yoga Teacher Training offered by Jennifer Yarro of Frog Lotus Yoga. In my decades of practice, I have gathered a bounty of knowledge about body awareness, range of motion and muscle memory patterns—all of which inform and complement my work as a massage therapist.
Whether the goal is to alleviate muscle tension, manage pain or move blocked energy in the body, I am honored to be a guide through that process, in an environment that is safe and supportive. My work is integrative in nature. I couple energetic modalities like Shiatsu and Polarity Therapy, with relaxation and kinesiology based methods like Swedish, Neuromuscular Therapy, Connective Tissue Therapy and Kinesthetic Awareness.
Aside from my trainings in yoga and bodywork, I received my Bachelor's in Studio Art from the University at Buffalo. Beyond my love for art, design and photography, I am also a life long lover of nature and being in it, a music enthusiast and a believer that movement and conscious dance are powerful somatic therapies.
What's on deck for me in the next few years? Well, I'd love to explore continuing education in CranioSacral Therapy, Thai Massage and Yoga Therapy.
